Reviews
I have to say I was a little apprehensive after reading some of these reviews about utilizing Grassy Sound marina. I have to say most of the negative reviews in my opinion are completely wrong. The employees and owners were helpful and courteous. The facility was nice and clean. The owner even gave me some fishing tips and let my kids meet/play with their marina dog. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this business. I look forward to docking my boat there next year.
I absolutely love crabbing here, we have been 4yrs in a row and will not try and find another for a while. The strip (boardwalk) is safe for kids to walk on and makes crabbing and fishing great. The price has been the same for the past few yrs at 7.00 per person for the day which is amazing compared to most places. The pictures show some of the things we have seen and picked up with crab cages and the cooked food is the outcome of my family going crabbing here.
DO NOT GO HERE! Wish I could give no stars. I booked a Pontoon 3 weeks in advance with a $100 deposit. The morning of the reservation I called to let them know I was running a little late but that I was definitely coming. First of all, they didn't even know I had a reservation! The guy who answered (who was initially very nice) said he only works there one day/week and clearly had no idea what was going on.
On the way there, someone called me, stating the owner no longer wanted to rent me the boat. He said I shouldn't have been late. "You wouldn't be late for a Doctors appointment!" he said and gave me a ton of attitude on the phone while my kids are I were ON THE WAY THERE after I had called earlier to inform them I would be there and was just running a little late. Who speaks to customers this way?!!! ALL OF THIS HAPPENED BETWEEN 8:30 AND 9:30 AM- NOT OVER 3 OR 4 HOURS- AND IN FRONT OF MY KIDS!! Please, do yourself a favor and go to Dad's Place. You will not be disappointed. Dad's Place couldn't have been more accommodating and I was glad to pay slightly more because of the stellar service Dad's place provided.
Worst marina I have ever been too. Owners were disrespectful and racist towards my friends. I have never had such a bad experience docking a boat. Will never dock there again, I will pay whatever it takes for respectful people.
Family owned business with so much to offer in a quiet and quaint road off of the main thoroughfare going into North Wildwood. They offer a secure fishing/crabbing pier to make family memories to last a lifetime. If you own a boat, you can slip it right at the secure marina and you can be fishing/crabbing/clamming or cruising the waterways in minutes. If you need a boat, rent one right at the marina, ready to go! Repairs needed on your boat, on site mechanic is available to save your day. The newest addition is the Lazy Bass Bar & Grille, which is still in it's infancy stage, but the fun times to be had there now and especially, in the future, are endless! 🌴
Affordable with a friendly, helpful staff. Didn't catch any fish, but caught about 20 crabs using 1 trap. We knew nothing about fishing or crabbing but the staff was patient and helpful with instructing us on what to do.
you can bring your own food, drinks, and beach chairs. The bathrooms are port o potties, not actual restrooms, hence the 4 stars.
Use to fish there many years ago.
Great place to take young people to learn to fish
We're alive. Barely though. Our pontoon boat was so slow and we could not try to go fast because it just took on water. Every time there was a mild wave in front of us we thought we were going down. Won't be back because there are so many other places to rent a boat that is worth your money. 2 stars because we're alive.
